For outstanding trim response, Power Trim XD allows you to adjust the drive unit angle to control the running attitude of your boat, to get on plane quicker and to improve performance. Power Trim XD also provides: Impact Protection • Power Trim XD cylinders cushion the drive unit upon impact with an underwater object, and the hydraulic memory system safely returns the drive to the preset trim position, so the driver maintains steering control. • If an underwater object is hit with competitive models, the sterndrive will kick up and remain in the position until the operator lowers it. Durability and Corrosion Resistance • Thick cylinder walls provide better corrosion resistance. • Grounding rings in the trim cylinder end caps ensure the trim cylinder piston rods remain electrically grounded to fight off corrosion. • Indium/aluminum anodes attached to the trim cylinders offer excellent protection against the elements.
